Breathing sustains the miracle of life.
More than that, it is a gateway to personal transformation and total self-expression when utilized as a therapeutic tool.
Mind and spirit are connected. How alive and vibrant we are is a direct result of how we think and how our body feels. Most of us unconsciously hold our breath as we rapidly move through our lives, not feeling emotions and not being present in each moment. Without knowing it, we also respond to our lives’ interactions and relationships based on reactions to our past.
BioDynamic Breath Therapy (TM), based on Whilelm Reich’s body-oriented psychotherapy, and Indian Mystic Osho’s Meditative Therapies, aids breathers to break down layers of defense mechanisms, traumas, and patterns, leading to an opening of the heart for giving and receiving love. Breathers are then able to manage fear in life in a way that supports personal growth versus emotional paralysis.
Through physical, verbal, and emotional catharsis brought up by special breathing techniques, denial, shame, guilt, despair, anger, and sadness based on past experiences are processed and released at a cellular level.
We might understand and mentally sense that a pattern or emotion no longer has a hold on us, but if such patterns and emotions are not transformed in our body chemistry and brain synapses, they will still grip us, creating blocks to living a life of true harmony and deep satisfaction. BioDynamic Breath Therapy sessions aid in the release from physical tension and create detoxification in the bloodstream, thus clearing breathers on emotional, energetic, mental, and physical planes so they may live life feeling clean and clear, and firmly rooted in the present moment. Such work creates heightened vitality and energy, as well as a sharpening of one’s intuitive sense and trust in life, leaving behind non-supportive patterns, and opening up prosperous and deeply satisfying ways of being.
In breath sessions (1.5 hours each) with clients we incorporate therapeutic counseling, bio-energetic exercises to warm up the body and deepen breathing, trance energetic breathing, which involves connected breathing through the mouth, and Reiki healing as clients integrate what has taken place during the breathing. Breath sessions weekly for 5 to 10 weeks or more frequently for longer periods of time can support personal growth and healing at a core level. We also recommend taking time to go to a week-long retreat where you can dive into a deep personal process without having to deal with your daily routines and work.
